Future for my hobby….

Well as the title says and anyone that follows my Twitter feed or Facebook feed will realise that lately I have become a but stagnant in my love for 40k as a game, and struggle to find a whole army that I particularly like, model wise.

So recently the Tau have been sold but a tidy profit was made (which makes me think my painting ability can’t be that terrible), so after these were sold, I got a new lease of life and ended up getting some more Necrons, they are already painted but that will soon be changed and put into my colour scheme. If anyone is wondering what that scheme is here is a picture of my Necron Lord.

So now that has been cleared, let’s get to what I can foresee as my hobby for the near future, I think gaming and building armies is gone and I think I am now looking at various ranges to paint, learn new techniques, refine old ones and work my way into the higher end if the commission market.

Hopefully my Timelines won’t be filled with as much grumpiness now and I can have a path clearly laid out (how very Eldar of me…)

A short but sweet post but I feel like it has cleared some air for me 🙂

Necrons!

Well as the title suggests, I am starting a new army, and the new army is Necrons, this is mainly due to a pasting I took by them recently (and there wasn’t a Death Ray in sight).

So this army came about during a trade, where I got 30 Warriors, 3 Night Scythes, 1 Command Barge, 1 Annihilation Barge, some Immortals, parts for an Ark, Obyron, Anrakyr, and a big old bitz box.

What attracted me to Necrons, well not the OP-ness of them, but the cool look and a nice contrast to my Tau as very little metal was used in that army, this gives me a new painting challenge that any of you who follow me on twitter will know, I have been trying hard on these and have just finished my Necron Lord, who will have some fluff written for him but so far he has his title, “Overlord Malandres, Conqueror of Deimos and the purger of Ashaim”

The scheme I have gone for is a Gold-ish armour, with Blue and Orange accents.

More will come of this project but this is the start of it.

This is my finished Overlord, and I look forward to adding more pieces to this army 🙂
