Forgeworld Open Day 2014

WTF is that knight titan shield thing

My travels in Warhammer

Hello all! As many of you might know it was the forgeworld open day! And what a ace day! My first time going so I didn’t really know what to expect, but there was plenty to see and can’t wait for some of the up coming releases.
Was also awesome as I got to meet @NeilChallis briefly today and spent most of the day with @peppermint_cat and also @Paul_Busfield. Also there was @stefgingerball and wayne who where working.
If you don’t have these guys on twitter go add them now! I managed to pick myself up a iron hands tee and a whirlwind scorpius as well cos its bad ass! Now rather me ramble on here’s what you really want to see…pictures!

Warmacine Cryx

Here is the stuff I have been working on recently, I need to finish the bases with some runes for facing markers and then they are done. Enjoy.

If anyone is interested in the recipes, I used GW paints of Straken Green, Druichii Violet, Cthonian Camoshade, Warplock Bronze, Shining Gold, Mephiston Red, Thunderhawk Blue, Seraphim Sepia, Nuln Oil, Carroburg Crimson. P3 paints Menoth White and Menoth White Highlight. Tamiya paints Titanium Silver, Titan Gold.

The Green armour was a prime of white, followed by glazes of Straken Green, I then washed the model with Carroburg Crimson in the deep shadows, working back up to Cthonian Camoshade, I then gave it one final wash of Druchii Violet and Camoshade mixed.

The gold was a base of Warplock Bronze then layers of Titan Gold and Shining Gold, with a glaze of Druchii Violet.

The Blue robes were Thunderhawk Blue, with a Camoshade and Violet mix.

BendyBoards Malifaux Carry Tray Complete

Awesome work from the Bear

Miniature Musings of a Bear

Some of you may remember I managed to get my hands on a BendyBoards Malifaux Carry Tray a while a go to review (HERE).

Well I have finally managed to get it painted and based up 🙂

Everyone needs a bit of luck trouble is I see more of the top card than the bottom one..

A little bit of Gremlin graffiti, the little buggers get everywhere

I may need to colour up the blanks on my model bases to better match everything but then, these were painted a while ago (also need to finish Lenny)

These are great trays and I have plans a foot to make inserts so I can make some of the 50mm base holes able to carry more 30mm bases for when I need it 😉

Walking on the shadows of giants

administratummalcontent's Blog

I’ve been a hobby nut for years. In fact, when Games Workshop first opened a shop in Maidenhead in the early 90s (’93 I believe) I was in the queue on opening day. I pledged fealty to the Emperor and the Lion. I still do.

Time, however, makes us bitter and twisted. We don’t like to acknowledge it but it is true. GW are still a great company and their minis are, without doubt, the best in the world. Sadly, certain company practices are now getting boring. The annual unnecessary price hike, the overlooking of certain lines because they aren’t “flagship” lines (chaos marines, I’m looking at you) and the ill-fated FineCast…just a few of the gripes I share with many others.

Last year, I got into Warmahordes at a demo day. Here is a small company (Privateer Press) making a go of it. Their starter sets are cheaper and…
